Shakhtar defeated Roma 2-1 at home while Sevilla and Manchester United drew goalless in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 clash late Wednesday.

In Ukraine, Shakhtar managed to come from behind in the second half to defeat Italian powerhouse Roma.

Roma's Turkish player Cengiz Under scored in the 41st minute, netting his first-ever goal in the Champions League. But Shakhtar were the better side in the second half and scored with Ferreyra and Fred.

The second leg of the Roma-Shakhtar tie will be played at Stadio Olimpico on March 13.

In the other match of the evening, Sevilla and Manchester United drew goalless. United's Spanish goalkeeper David de Gea made two critical saves at the end of the first half to make sure the English side did not concede at Roman Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium.

The two teams will meet again at Old Trafford Stadium on March 13.
