Reinforcement commando units arrive at Syrian border near southern Hatay’s Reyhanli district, says military source
ANKARA
Turkey has deployed fully equipped commando units as part of military reinforcements along its southern border with Syria, a military source said on Wednesday.

The source said the new deployment was part of reinforcements for troops already stationed there.
Turkey previously transferred 30 wagonfuls of military vehicles to its Ahmet Tor Barracks in Hatay on Tuesday, set to be amassed at the Syrian frontier.
The Turkish Armed Forces also said military drills that began in the Silopi and Habur areas of the southeastern Sanliurfa province on Monday are ongoing.
Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim met with the nation’s land, naval, air and gendarmerie force commanders separately on Wednesday.
Yildirim met with Land Forces Commander Gen. Yasar Guler, Naval Forces Commander Vice Adm. Adnan Ozbal, Air Forces Commander Gen. Hasan Kucukakyuz and Gendarmerie Forces Commander Gen. Arif Cetin on Wednesday, a statement said.
