Anadolu Agency will launch its Energy Journalism Training program on Monday in collaboration with the Turkish International Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) and Anadolu Agency's News Academy.

A group of 25 trainees from 10 different countries -- including Niger, Sudan, Iraq, Romania, Pakistan and Albania -- will attend the program.

Representatives from the Turkish Energy and Natural Resources Ministry, Turkey's Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA), an academic from Turkey's Middle East Technical University (METU), an expert from Institute for Energy Markets and Policies (EPPEN) and Anadolu Agency’s Energy and Economy news editors will deliver training in accordance with the agency’s vision of forming qualified field correspondents.

As part of the program, several subjects -- including reporting techniques, energy policies, the global natural gas and oil market -- will be addressed.

Carried out by Anadolu Agency's News Academy, the training is unique as it offers an 11-day program covering both theoretical and practical courses.

The program will end on March 9.
