Supporters of PYD/PKK continued with their smear campaign against Turkey's ongoing counter-terror operation in Syria through the use of crude photo manipulation and misrepresentation.

The terror group's sympathizers shared three different photos targeting the Turkish army and Operation Olive Branch. The photos later turned out to be completely unrelated to the Turkish army and Operation Olive Branch.

The photo shared under the tag "Turkey, hands off Afrin", was actually taken on Feb. 28, 2014 at a protest in Chile.

Another photo shared by PYD/PKK sympathizers on social media with the caption "Turkish army stole olive oil in Afrin", turned out to be from a news article titled "Honey doping to Turkish soldiers from Konya".

The photos aiming to defame the Turkish military and Operation Olive Branch turned out to be completely unrelated and distorted once again.

Another photo displaying a burning tank with the Turkish flag under the title "YPG attacks Turkish tank" was found out to be taken in Saudi Arabia.

As part of its smear campaign, social media accounts linked to the terrorist PYD/PKK earlier posted a photo showing the Turkish flag being raised on Mt. Bursaya, but with a Daesh terrorist flag superimposed.

On Jan. 20, the Turkish army launched Operation Olive Branch to remove PYD/PKK and Daesh terrorists from Afrin.

According to the Turkish General Staff, the operation aims to establish security and stability along Turkey’s borders and the region as well as protect Syrians from terrorist oppression and cruelty.
