Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Saturday marked Oct. 3 Turkic States Cooperation Day and the 17th anniversary of the Nakhchivan Agreement, which established the Organization of Turkic States (OTS).
In a post on Turkish social media platform NSosyal, Erdogan congratulated the Turkic world on the anniversary of the agreement and Turkic States Cooperation Day.
"On this path of brotherhood, which we embarked upon with the motto Unity in language, thought and action, I hope our unity, togetherness and solidarity will remain everlasting and enduring," Erdogan said.
The Turkish Foreign Ministry also marked the day earlier in a statement, saying it proudly celebrated Turkic States Cooperation Day and the 17th anniversary of the signing of the agreement.
“Drawing strength from our shared history, language, and bonds of brotherhood, the Organization of Turkic States has evolved into a significant platform institutionalizing our solidarity and strengthening our cooperation. The 13th Summit of the Organization of Turkic States, to be hosted by Türkiye on 29-30 October, will further advance this partnership,” said the ministry.
“Türkiye will resolutely continue its efforts to transform the human, economic and strategic potential of the Turkic world into shared prosperity and build the Turkic Century in unity and solidarity,” it added.
